Taken 29 June 2009 from Thessaloniki (Saloniki) (Mikra) - SKG to Frankfurt (Rhein-Main) - FRA

Flew with Alitalia - operating a share code with AirOne from Thessaloniki to Frankfurt, transiting through Rome. Really terrible experience. Thessaloniki to Rome, 1 hour takeoff delay. Reached Rome with 15 min delay. OK. Economy class ticket and was offered a refreshment and a cookie snack. Excluding the refreshment and snack, it felt like a low cost airline. Rome to Frankfurt, another half an hour delay, reached destination on time. The same refreshment and cookie offered for the almost 2 hour flight.

The return part Frankfurt to Rome, an hour's delay, so I lost the connecting flight, moved to another one and upgraded to business class. Reached destination with 1 hour delay and luggage lost due to G8 meeting extra security measures as they reported. Hopefully the luggage was delivered to my home the next business day with minor damages. I was so happy I got it back I tipped the delivery driver with everything I had in my pocket. Alitalia and AirOne? Never again. Prefer the low cost ones. They weren't even cheap. I was charged 478 euros. The planes were Canadair Bombardier CBJ 900 at least seemed to be in good shape.
